Founded in 1911 in Pesaro, Italy, by the six Benelli brothers, the company grew from a small workshop into a respected motorcycle manufacturer with a deep racing legacy and a reputation for distinctive design.

Benelli’s journey began with handmade engines and early success in competition during the 1920s and 1930s. Through innovation and resilience — including rebuilding after World War II — the brand earned acclaim with racing victories and bold engineering achievements. In the 1970s, legendary models such as the Benelli Sei introduced the world’s first production six-cylinder motorcycle, setting new standards in performance and engineering.  

Today, Benelli blends its rich Italian heritage with modern motorcycle engineering. After being acquired by China’s Qianjiang Group in 2005, the company retained its Pesaro design identity while expanding globally with accessible, stylish bikes across a wide range of segments.
